SCAN WORK OF FORTRESSES IN 3D

The 3D scanning is completely finished as scheduled in the project, including the following fortresses: Navidad Fortress in Cartagena (Spain), Castello do Queijo in Porto (Portugal), the Ottoman Castle of Mytilini (Greece) and the Citadel of Al-Marqab (Syria). The job was carried out with the direction of the Cultnat Digitalisation Experts (Egypt) and the collaboration of technicians of the partners in Spain, Portugal, Greece and Syria. The job done has implied the shipping of the main equipment, a Scanner 3D Callidus, through three European countries plus Syria, in order to capture the finest details of those splendid symbols of defence cultural heritage in the Mediterranean. The results of the work shall be given to the partners for scientific purposes.
